The Tamil community is an agricultural community, as they grow their own crops. They take care of animals, and they have gardens which they harvest. The Tamil family, like many families in India, is an extended family. Most people live with their parents and grandparents, and it is expected for the younger children to support the elderly. The ederly in the Tamil community are very well respected, and are taken care of by others.
